A free and confidential support for quitting smoking, vaping and tobacco use.

 

Offered in over 100 languages and is available by phone or text. Patients work with a Care Coach and can schedule check-ins at their convenience. Referral form required, and can be found online.

STOP on the Net

*FREE Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)

A free, virtual smoking cessation program offered by CAMH. Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) will be provided.

Talk Tobacco

Talk Tobacco

A free and confidential program offering culturally appropriate support and information about quitting smoking, vaping and commercial tobacco use to First Nations, Inuit, Métis and urban Indigenous communities.

 

Support services are offered in 24 Indigenous languages, and can be accessed by phone, online chat and text. Referral form required, and can be found online.

Ontario MOH

Ontario Drug Benefit

Individuals covered by Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) are entitled to a 12-week course of prescription Nicotine Replacement Therapy (Champix or Zyban) once every 12 months.

Family Health Team or Nurse Practitioner Led

Patients who belong to a Family Health Team or Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic are eligible for up to 26 weeks of free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and counselling. Patients should contact their clinic directly.

Ontario Smoking Cessation Pharmacy Program

Some local pharmacies participate in the Ontario Smoking Cessation Pharmacy Program, where they have a qualified pharmacist available to provide smoking cessation programming. ODB recipients can enroll at no charge, while others may be charged an enrollment fee. Patients are encouraged to contact their desired pharmacy prior to visiting to confirm a certified pharmacist is available.
